Het initiatief begon bij Daniella, die haar zoon Voss voorlas uit De Wildernis van Yuval Zommer. Dit inspirerende verhaal zette haar aan het denken: Wat doen wij terug voor de natuur? Zo werd het zaadje geplant voor De Reizende Boekenkrat.

Het idee is simpel en inspirerend: kies een mooi kinderboek over  de natuur en doneer op deze actiepagina. De volledige opbrengst gaat naar Trees For All, waarmee bomen worden geplant om iets terug te geven aan de natuur.
