Black Friday is all about buying more stuff. But we at BUas don't want to be part of that. Instead, we're choosing Green Friday. All the money we raise goes to Trees for All to plant and protect forests that fight climate change and help nature recover. Trees absorb CO₂, give animals a home, and make our planet healthier. Every donation—whether it's €1 or €10—helps plant trees that will be here for years to come. Let's turn the biggest shopping day into the biggest day of giving back.

Beyond Black Friday: small wins for a climate positive future together

Are you ready to be part of the change?

Climate action can feel overwhelming, but what if the solution starts with small, powerful steps you can take today? We're excited to invite you to our Studium Generale, where we'll give a first impression on what it means to become a climate positive organisation and address what actions are already underway. This isn't just another presentation about sustainability goals. It's about us, our ideas, our actions, our impact and our community.

Discover together with speaker Marnix Kluiters how individual actions (small wins) create collective impact. This is your chance to move from feeling overwhelmed to feeling empowered. Because change doesn't start with perfect solutions, it starts with people like you taking that first step.

On the 28th of November it’s Black Friday, the ultimate symbol of our throwaway culture. What better moment for the performance ‘Soundtrack of the Plastic Age’, where drummer and composer Rogier De Nijs takes a stand against our throwaway society and plastic pollution. Three drummers take us on a journey through the Plasticene using self-made instruments crafted from plastic waste, proving that something that seems to have lost its value can create extraordinary and contemporary music.
